Frequently Asked Questions

When should I keep my child home with a fever?

A child with a temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher should stay home from school or daycare. Keep them home until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication. Call our office if the fever lasts more than three days, or if your child has trouble breathing, is unusually drowsy, or has a rash.

Do you offer same-day sick visits?

Yes. We reserve appointment slots each day for sick children. Call us as early as possible in the morning at (810) 662-3220 and we will do our best to see your child the same day. If you call after hours, leave a message and we will respond on the next business day.

What should I do after office hours?

For life-threatening emergencies, call 911. For urgent but non-emergency concerns, consider an urgent care clinic or the emergency room. For non-urgent questions, call our office and leave a message—we will respond the next business day. View our full after-hours policy
